I put together a new set up that Bev can use when we go out so it was time to test it. Oh, I won the rod lat year at the Bass Tackle Shop. It's an inexpensive Japanese rig and I paired it with a new Okuma Epixor that I got on the cheap. Still, it's a nice M (more on the ML) rig. I used too use the Okuma Epixor model for years, both salt and fresh.

Back to fishing.

I was going to work the other side of the pond but as always, I just stayed nearby.

One chased my lure and got me a little exited but we never hooked up.

Then, as I was working my lure slowly, it got picked up. I let him have it for a second or two and scored my 1st Cedar pond of the year!



It was a pounder wannabe.

Had another bite and then called it a day after 30 minutes.
