Fall nirvana

Leon wanted to float and I told him not to expect much with the low water

Was I wrong

But first we had to wait for the trains.  Not sure what they were doing but it was almost an hour wait.  After 10 minutes we got out and got all our gear ready so that when we hit the put-in we'd be ready.

We launched on a stretch of water both of us hasn't done for many years.  Absolute gorgeous water, nice warm enough to not need waders but I wore them anyways.

I floated this are allot but have never been on it when it was this low.  We could see everything.  Definitely worthy of some notes to remember where the deep holes and fishy area's are for later floats.

Turned out to be an absolute gorgeous day on the water, mild temps, and we even caught some fish and had a heartbreak.  Big fish of the day jumped and about 2' out of the water spit my bait right back to the kayak.

But the fish were active and we harassed them all day

Re: Fall nirvana

We had fish blowing up on baits almost like it was summer.  Unreal
