Well, I thought that the outing with George was a slow white perch fishing day when we caught around 50.
Today was just plain dead...20 fish!
The forecast was for 5mph wind and seas that were <1'.
We were exited as we motored out of the creek because we had some shade.
Some nice boats!
This one came up from where my mom lives.
When we got to the mouth of the creek, we were meet with the SE wind and 1-2'ers! That took me out of my 1st spot but I knew that if we made it to the radio towers, we would be protected some.
Sure enough, we got there and Bev caught a flounder!
Andf that was it! No perch to be found in the 400 yard shoreline we fished. The water looked fine but...
Anyway, things settled down some and I was able to run over to where I wanted to go.
I got my skunk off quickly.
There was a lot of noise where we were as they are fixing the rock wall where we like to fish. Lots of big equipment moving big rocks. After a while, I wanted no more so we went around the corner. Here, Bev found a school and caught a bunch (including 3 in a row).
I caught a few a s well but the hole dried up.
Bev did manage his 3rd species..a spot.
We then tried a couple of more places with little success. The SE wind seemed to keep the tide a bay and slowed down the current.
Bev caught the last couple of fish at the condos but it was slow there.
I was frustrated in not being able to get one the fish. I didn't want to run in to the Severn for fear of the brown algae. But Bev didn't complain, he enjoyed kicking my butt!
Lunch was subs at Ledo's where we relaxed before hitting the road. We did encounter some traffic which reminded us when we used to commute!
I believe that I am done with Annapolis for the year unless I get some better reports from what I have been hearing.

Always better to be out there than in here.....Some big boats! I've been on a couple in my life, but never wanted one that big regardless of my income (which can't afford one). lol

That's why they call it fish'n and not catch'n
Red tide there too?
What's the story on that mess of braid with the spot?

Heard white perch fishing has been slow all over for the last week or so. Whenever I see boats like those ones all I can think about is how much it would cost just to fill the tank.

I suspect those boat owners don’t worry much about the cost of fuel for those beasts. I get slapped in the face every time I fill up after a long ride to the water.

I don't think they even care about the price of gas, their crew, or the boat's maintenance.
Must be nice!

so true! you don't go shopping for a boat like that, ferrari, or other toy and worry about mpg or anything like that.
