V8 SUV for you Ernie

https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva … 58092.html

Happen to see this and thought of you.  Just in case you're still looking.  It's not exactly cheap, but what is nowadays.  I still think it's the best of the bunch.

Re: V8 SUV for you Ernie

So, in today’s market, the price is competitive. But man, I hate paying up and not wheeling and dealing. Miss those days.

Re: V8 SUV for you Ernie

A fiend of mine works at CarFax. We did some investigation on the car. Excellent records but car has been involved in 4 accidents. While not major, it leaves me suspicious. But, a good negotiating tool if the frame is straight.

Re: V8 SUV for you Ernie

I was able to work the price down a little but was still nervous about the 4 minor accidents so I did not buy it.  The car had excellent maintenance records.

Re: V8 SUV for you Ernie

Dang that's a bummer about the accidents sad Having a good maintenance record could be an indication that whatever damage was done in all those accidents would have been taken care of? I don't blame you for passing on it though.

Good call Ernie.  That would have pushed me away also.  You never know about those gremlins!

Thanks for the lead.

But the hunt continues. I am hoping used car prices will start to drop with these high gas prices.

Re: V8 SUV for you Ernie

no problem.  It was at 11k when I saw it and it only had 6 hrs left.  I don't know what the final bid was so you probably didn't miss anything.

Re: V8 SUV for you Ernie

Got the QX80...man, it's got a lot of bells and whistles! But it has a nice V8 which is what I am looking for.

My neighbor (21) will now be selling the Trailblazer. He sold my 2500HD for me as well. Yes...he gets a nice commission. lol

Re: V8 SUV for you Ernie

Thanks!

It’s a 2015. Got a pretty good price on it (less than what they average out at). It’s still a sellers market. I love negotiating when I buy a vehicle. Lots of holding out for my price.

Good story on the sellers. He’s an active duty Navy guy (24 years) and she’s a pediatric ER nurse. They have 6 kids. It made it tough to really work them in the wringer so we all won and that’s good.

Gee thanks George...578 pages!

The Owners Manual is in the glove box. Where it will stay.

Re: V8 SUV for you Ernie

LOL

I've never had a 598 page owners manual.  But then again I've never had a vehicle with that many bells and whistles.

Edit - I was just browsing the owners manual. You need a manual to define all the acronyms they use

Re: V8 SUV for you Ernie

Well, the vehicle has all kinds of sounds - beeps, clicked, bongs, bells.  What each mean I haven't a clue?

And still trying to decipher SRS, AFP, ICC, LDP, SOS, DCA, BSI, BSW - but I did read the car will drive itself and keep between the lanes.

There is a TOW mode you'll need to figure out how to turn on

And a SNOW mode
