Monday:
Benjamin and Cody got here Sunday, but the 20-25 MPH winds kept us off the water. It was 33 degrees this morning, so we waited until 9 am to get out on the water. This morning we went for stripers. Benjamin hooked up in the first 15 minutes and gets a very healthy 24" striper in the boat.
We had 3 other hits in the next 3 hours, but never got a good hookup. Going for crappie this afternoon if we can find them............

Got out this afternoon for crappie. I'm afraid the spawn happened early 4 weeks ago . Very few crappie up here shallow. Benjamin did get a 13" crappie and a small dink.
Looks like we may have missed the spawn............
We will get out early tomorrow for stripers.

Tuesday:
Got the boys out this morning before sunrise. 58 degrees and so much warmer than yesterday morning. We get a 25.5" pig within 400 yds of the starting point.
Then the rains come and the rain gear comes out.
Worked the N. Anna section for about 3 more hours with only one hit. Their 2nd cousin is coming down today, so we'll see if we all get out again this afternoon.

Got them out this afternoon. Striper fishing is very slow right now. We hooked up after an hour and it was Cody's turn. He landed (with a little help) his first keeper striper at 21.5".
We strained water for the next 2 hours and then called it. Alarm clock goes off early tomorrow morning!

I see a family resemblance. That is a great fish. Love the pic of Cody in the oversized rain jacket!

Wednesday:
Got them out early this morning.
Fish were very scattered. Benjamin hooked up after about 30 minutes and puts a fat 23" in the boat.
Then it was dead for the next 2 hours except for a 19" throwback. Supposed to be windy this afternoon, so we'll see if we can get out.
