Mid-Bay tribs 2/12/22

Made my first trip of 2022 on Saturday. My goal was to catch my first speck of the year, and I was successful at that, but barely. I caught exactly 1. They definitely got hit by the cold. I didn't see any dead or dying, but there were vultures and eagles all over the place looking for a meal. Striper bite was a little more productive. I caught 5 with the largest going 28.5". Water temp got as high as 54 but I'm sure it's well below that by now.

That's a really good early salt water outing. Hope the specks survived or at least high tailed it out of here before the temp drop. Fifty four degree water is pretty good.

Time to go fishin' again!
