Upper Potomac 10/7/21

Saw George and his walking buddy at the ramp.  Water was a nice color.  Plan was to try topwater nearby, but I was not feeling it and moved up a bit.  Tried plopper, Chug Bug, inline spinner, small swimbait and tube but no bites.

Made another move to a spot I used to start at and the water looked good.  I finally got bit on the BPS one minus (it really swims erratic).  It was a chunky 14"er.

No more bites there, so I made the big run.  Nice looking structure, but slow fishing.  I finally caught two small ones on an inline in faster water.  One was 12" and the other was a baby.  Here is the 12".

The sun kept popping out and the water was mostly clear.  Fishing was slow and I made the run back after lunch and no more bites.  Wind was stronger than forecast at times and from SE.  Overall nice weather, but sub-par bite.  My allergies have been kicking my bitt too.  Off the water around 1:40pm.

Glad you got some, surprised they didn’t go for topwater.
