Annual week on SML.
Fishing better than normal. Up everyday at 5:30am to beat the boatwake. Spent most of my time in the waters near the dam. Island points, sheer rock walls, anything with wood and deeper riprap is where I found my fish. Best baits were shad colored cranks, the ole whopper plopper, big (10") junebug colored worms and ole reliable, green pumpkin tube.
Finally caught a few smallies on the trusted pumpkin tube. Smallies were in 6-10ft of water with structure on the bottom. Mostly tree stumps.
Needed to be off the water most days by 9am. Also did alot of nonfishing boating, jetskiing and eating. I love this lake and it's getting easier to fish.

Good job! You bring a boat or rent one? They say the area near the dam is best.
