Late july 2nd report

Had a few hours at the end of the day on friday and wasnt going anywhere for the weekend so off I went to quantico.

Water was stained and the wind was up maybe 5 mph. Tough to stay in place with the tide going out and wind!

Worked the shore pockets with a black frog and literally landed the frog on top of the snakehead.  It took off but later returned (about 5 min as I worked the rest of the area).

Taking what I learned from capt mike I tossed the frog into the grass and worked it out onto the water and it smashed it without hesitation.

Seeing this big fish in 4 inches of water with fins out of the water was amazing.

Waited much longer than before to ensure a good hookset I counted to 8 and the fight was on.

32 inches/just under 13lbs. Pic coming (why do I keep forgetting how to post a pic!) lol

I could barely fit it on the stringer.

Fished more and had several more blow ups and missed another good one due to a bad hook set.

Another great day fishing!

Thanks ernie!  Yes, it's a lifetime in fishing but capt mike can vouch for me....I'm patient.
