Sorry

No food pix

But it was the hottest day of the year we choose to play hooky

But did catch some fish on the hottest day of the year.

But not at first - threw a fluke while waiting on the boat ramp and got hit hard - so hard I was glad I was holding my rod tight.  But the beast either had teeth or took off under a rock immediately because my braid was cut clean.

Did have redemption a couple minutes later

And then another one right afterwards

Water was almost glass all day.  A little wind would have helped with the heat

Found this guy on a very skinny stretch behind an island

Stopping to hydrate

My buddy was plagued by bites and no hookups.  But not this time

All in all great day.  Boated a bunch of fish, managed to stay wet by wading allot and was very important to stay hydrated.

Ha! We have changed the dynamics of fishing reports!

And pee!

I remember that when I yaked, I liked to get to the shore to stretch out a bit. I also like dangling my feet in the water....oh, and I forgot. Losing gear was always a given!

Time to go fishin' again!

At my age, never miss the opportunity ...

I lost my Boomerang braid clippers.  Found them later in my buddies yak.  Must have dropped them when I was either getting my pix taken with a fish or taking his pix?  Also saw a spinnerbait slide down a scupper hole.
