Lake Moomaw 6/25

Since I was going to be in the area for the weekend I decided I would give this lake on shot on my way there.  I left at 0430, made a quick stop at a GW forest range to try out my M1 carbine for the first time, and finally got on the water around 0930.  There are trout in the lake and a trout stamp is not required.  I figured a yellow perch pattern might be the best bet.  Not far from the ramp my trolled Berkley crankbait (flicker shad I think) got hit by a decent lmb that self-released at the boat.  My perch pattern 6th sense crankbait that caught my pike in ND also worked.

The rest of the weekend was with a group I've been involved with for over a year now. https://www.americanpioneercorps.org/
