Lake Mead 8-19-08

It was 115 on lake mead. The report is that stripers are hitting top water in the morning and cut bait after that. Fish are being caught up to 40"s. We rented a pontoon boat and mostly swam. Karina's friend Dan did hook up with a few largemouth, which got off when trying to lift on the boat with no net.

Here is a pic of a pod of carp that found some shade at the boat launch. There were also stripers under them.

That water is really clear....great picture!

Hmmm....what if someone dropped a fly in that corner.....what a fight that would be on a light stick!

All I see there is fertilizer!

If it were easy, they'd call it catching!
