A friend and I went to the Shenandoah River yesterday and rented a 4 man raft from Front Royal Outdoors. We usually take the State Park to Karo Landing route, but it was not offered due to low water conditions. So we took the shorter route from Karo Landing to the Outdoors take out. Fished from 9:30 to 3pm under partly sunny and then sunny skies. Water was slow and very clear. We caught about 30 fish--15 smallies, 13 bluegills, one fallfish, and one large catfish (about 8 lbs). Most fish were caught on 1/8 oz. white with silver blade Rooster Tail spinner--including the catfish. Most fish were in the calmer water immediately below the riffles/rapids. Beautiful day to be on the water and the fish were cooperative
