AV Lakes 5-25

Wife had a Dr. appt. this morning in Ashburn.  After the appointment, she dropped me off at Alder so she could go shopping around 11 am.  I had forgotten how quickly the cattails grew.  Some were near 8' tall.  No bites at Alder and moved up to Beech.  Caught this one on a spinner bait at the dam.

That was the only bite there.  Clouds and a light rain came in and I moved up to Cedar.  Switched to a white mouse with the overcast skies.  Ended up with 5 more, all under 12" on the mouse.  This one was obviously hungry.  Doubt he could have swallowed it.

Headed back down to the to the Big A lake and no bites there.  Walked over to Tippecanoe and it was muddy from all the carp tearing up the shoreline.  Did manage another small one there on a jerk bait.
Ernie was on a bike ride the entire time I was fishing, but texted me when he got home.....unfortunately it was now 1 pm and my wife had just pulled up to get me (at the same time when I called him back).  Oh well, we'll get together next time.

Sorry I missed you. It was a good ride but a little chilly at 1st with the sprinkles.

Glad you got a few. They miss you!
