4-10-21, Cedar

I caught a few little ones last week and today, it was hard to keep the small bass (9-12") off the fly until I figured out bass wanted shallow and BGs wanted a little deeper.

A very slow retrieve scored 4 nice BG's and a nice Red Ear. All big and fat!

One of the BGs was a nice humpy. Don't know why I didn't take a pic.

A chartreuse, chenille fly with  teeny dumbell eyes did the trick. All the biggies took it off the bottom about 15' out from shore.

Looks like a blast.  I decided I needed sleep more than fishing this morning.  Great day for it, though.

I remember BGs that big when I was a kid (been a while).  Beautiful fish, Ernie.

Now that's a good time! I could use a break like that.

Bring the kids over before the new one pops out and I'll help watch them. I'm double vaccinated!
