Maybe fishing on Friday

I have this Friday off. With young kids (no one in school) and another coming my immediate thought is "I'm going fishing!" lol. I plan to go do early morning until about lunch time or so. I'm thinking shad fishing from the shore at Occoquan because I don't get to go fishing that many times a year and shad fishing is so darn fun.  I checked the forecast and it is going to be in the 30s and windy 10-20mph mad I'm worried the fishing might be slow with the rain on Wed, the dropping temps that the, and high tide around 11:20am. What do you all think the fishing will be like?

Re: Maybe fishing on Friday

Does any one know if the Walmart or Dicks in Sterling has shad darts?

Hit or miss on darts.  They do have crappie jigs that work.  Dick's and Ernie's have them, LOL.

I stopped by Ernie's and he was very generous! Definitely can't get these good looking shad darts at any big box store. He also gave me a few other things to try as well.

He also was heating up a pizza from Mediterranean Breeze. It looked so good *drool*.

With all the rain, maybe bring a kastmaster or in-line trout spinner for some muddy water.

Thanks for the suggestion. Ernie hooked me up with a spoon. I have some spinners in my box that I can try as well.

It WAS good. Greek pizza.

Every time (1x/week) we go to the Breeze, we buy a pizza to bring home for lunches. Mmmmm good!

It looked so good that we ordered one for dinner. It was as delicious as you said it was! Ordered a large and there is not enough leftovers for a full meal lol.
