Pacemaker Fishing Forum

So today Benjamin challenged me to a crappie contest only casting jigs.  No minnows or bobbers allowed!  Wind was still terrible and gusting to 20.  We found fish after searching a while with the Lowrance.  Put the trolling motor on Spot-Lock and the contest began a little after 11:30 am.  We fished for 3 hours.  Final score was Benjamin-25, and Grandad-42.  Fishing in a stiff wind with light line and an 1/8 oz jig was tough feeling a bite, but we did pretty well considering.  My BF was 12.5 inches and Benjamin's was 11.5 inches.  Fish tacos again for dinner tonight.........
