Our poor river....

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of DC...Maryland and Virginia, including the following areas: In Virginia, Albemarle, Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria, Culpeper, Eastern Loudoun, Fairfax, Greene, King George, Madison, Nelson, Northern Fauquier, Orange, Prince William/Manassas/Manassas Park, Rappahannock, Southern Fauquier, Spotsylvania, Stafford and Western Loudoun.

* From Thursday afternoon through late Thursday night

* One and half to two and half inches of rain are expected Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. This is expected to result in flash
flooding of small streams and creeks and possible river flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to Flash Flooding. Flash Flooding is a very dangerous situation. You
should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Too much water...too little water...too much water...etc., etc., Hopefully in 2021 Mother Nature will be kinder to us.

You are probably right but 10' is still a lot...

They have backed it down to 16' at POR.

I hope some of those fish will come down but they don't have many places to hide.

The river is already at 11'+ at POR and climbing.

River rose to almost 49 degrees and dropped down to 40 in the two days.  Those fish will be in shock.

I saw that...also saw that you and I fished on Jan. 13, 2020 and the water temps was 46df. And we caught a couple of fish each!
