8-31 Rainy Stripers

Had not posted a trip in a month or so here.  Got up this morning to overcast and rain.  Had lines in the water by 6:30.  It rained the entire time.  Rain gauge shows 1.1 inches while I was out.  Looked around for 30 minutes or so until I found a school on the sonar/side scan.  Put a small striper in the boat right away.  Then I get a nice one.  Took a while to get it to the boat and measured 27 inches.  Get another nice one on.......and a twin of the previous fish.  Some boats saw me catching and came over and spooked the school...........BLAH!  Moved to several spots and found fish at most.  Ended up with 15 fish, 7 of which were legal size, and 8 shorts.  Only kept the first 2 fish and off the water by 1:30.  Bet my bilge pump ran 20-30 times.
