8-30-20 Report

Last evenings trip was some sweet weather after some very heavy rains. Worried that Mattawomen would be three creams in your coffee I was delighted to hear from a buddy getting off the water that it was not bad up the creek and had some nice clear water. As we ventured farther up it got pretty good and then the tide changed one hour early and the big slug of mud was flying out of the back area. Water temps dropped 6 degrees and I struggled to find clear water. Found it towards the mouth of the creek. Lost one LGmouth in Golden hour and it looked like a skunk. But I said "make your last cast" and it worked ...nice LGMouth landed. three hits all night but what a nice evening to be out fishing.
