8-2-20 Report

Had Ernie and Bob on last night and we had some rain that made the evening nice. Not too hot and some light wind kept us cool. However the cloud cover was scarce and the bite was not great. Picked a few here and there but only one topwater hit and no snakehead hits. At golden hour this huge LGMouth bull rushed Ernies bait and ate it. Looked like a dog swimming it moved so much water. Picked another one in the weeds right at the side of the boat. Several fish missed and a good time was had by all. I added the fist in mouth pic to get an idea how big the bull LGMouth was.

It was a nice night indeed!

The rain was not long lasting and didn't soak us. My old Frogg Toggs jacket did the job!

My 1st fish was a subtle bite...no, I lost of contact with the bait and thankfully I set the hook.

Mike described the 2nd one well. There was a teeny pocket of water between the edge and hydrilla and this fish came bull rushing out. I actually declared it a snakie at first.

The 3rd fish was cool too. I literally pitched (7-8' my bait into a whole at the edge. I never had to reel it in, just winch him out of the weeds.

So what do you think the weight and length of the big one was?
