7-18-20, Cedar

It's hot so it was short stogie kinda day.

The fly fishing (4wt) was slow...no bites on top or with the home made wet flies.

Then, I was barely stripping it when something picked up the fly. I thought it was a pounder bass until it started doing the BG dance.

This guy was @10"!

One bite in 40 minutes...definitely worth the effort!


Time to go fishin' again!

Those redears are so much fun to catch. Brandon still waxes about the time he caught a big one there.

And yeah, I walked out on my patio fully intending to smoke a stogie after dinner and walked right back inside...sticky, hot, and zero wind tonight.

Nice redear! I had a stogie (Oliva Serie V) around sunset. The temperature was much more tolerable at that time, though still much hotter than I'd like. I needed the respite though haha
