This evening was setup for pop-r with low tide close to dark. Wind came up and changed our plans. Went back deep in the creek and pulled out a Big Nose white perch lure. Tied it on a speed freak rod and reel and bingo 4 LGMouth landed. It was the perfect size and the they ate it well. Several white perch and a yellow perch ate it. Tried later after the winds died down with the pop-r and got a few hits and few fish. All came off at the boat.
Nice cool evening.

What's a Big Nose white perch lure?

A little spinner bait originally designed by Woody and Big Nose over on the Kayak site makes them.
It is a really good white perch lure.

Woody Tillery makes the best white perch lure known to mankind.
Big Nose makes a nice one as well. Couldn't find one but I know I have them.
Woody also was one of the best shallow water white perch fishermen that I have ever known...
He now lives in TN.
Here is the story of when I bought a few of his lures while out on the water.

I still own quite a few, NIP. And they are NOT for sale!

Oh man I remember being able to grab one of Woody's lures before he moved. Wasn't there a shop in Anne Arundel County that sold his lures?

I think Marty's Tackle in Edgewater still sells them.
