Maybe the best gift I've ever received
So I turned 60 in March. Booked a trip to Beauchene in June to celebrate it with 5 other guys but of course Covid had other ideas.
(Still hoping to go In September but that's looking doubtful.)
Last night I met up with all the guys to discuss rebooking options and drink a few beers.
When I got there, one of my friends had a gorgeous AvidX medium heavy bait-caster with a Abu Garcia RevosSX reel on it.
This guy is not a bait-caster type of fisherman so I said wow, go big or go home. He said, you go big or go home and handed it to me.
Turned out all the guys pitched in and bought me this awesome setup. I was just stunned but here it is, sitting on my desk waiting to be spooled.
So humbled and blessed to have great friends like that.
