June 28th Report

Started a bit later than we normally do, but it did not matter. The fish where not very hungry and we had to move around a bit to find them. Tide was getting low and then they started to look up and eat. Pop-R 's where on the menu. Caught some big LGMouth and few small ones too. Tom pulls out this lure called a Pompadour with spinning tail and arm flaps that make a lot of commotion. Dang if a fish bum rushes it and does not get hooked. Even more interesting was it did it twice and no hook up. Humidity lessened and the fish got lock jaw.  A truly fun evening of fishing.

Re: June 28th Report

What a great night, weather was just perfect. That first one was my neighbor's first LMB ever, not bad! He did OK for his first time using a popper, probably could have caught more if he wasn't distracted by all the wiildlife and birds.
