8-30-19, Solomon's

It had been a while since Mo and i fished was the day.

I picked him up at 6a and we were on the water by 8:10a.

As we headed out of the creek, we were talking boats (Mo is looking to get a CC) and he pointed at a nice blue Parker.

I said, "you like that one". He says, "yes!".

I told him I knew the owner and he will get a ride in it soon. Rob Allen owns that beauty!

Mo wanted me to show him a few new spots in the Pax but I think he and Carl had covered it well.

We struck out the first 3 places we tried. It was wired. The tide was just starting to come in.

But Mo managed to get the skunk off!

I went to a creek that Carl and I used to fish and we did OK.

I got my skunk off...

...and Mo got this 17"er!

He really wanted a keeper striper...we tried.

We then went back across the other side and caught a few here and there. Often, a crab will latch on to our lure but get off as soon as you raise it out of the water. Not this guy...

...he wanted to fight.

This is what we came for...

...and we gt a bunch!

We hit 3-4 more areas, always catching a bunch but most were cookie cutter 8-9" perchies. We caught a few little ones but not many. The two biggest were 10" (me) and 10.5" (Mo).

Beautiful day out on the water.

The ride home was good, few slowdowns but the other side was bumper to bumper for miles!

Time to go fishin' again!
