It's always good to check to see if the fish are where they are supposed to be and today, they were!
Last trip out of CB, I chose not to fish the jetties and headed right for the Spanish house. It paid off.
Today was a tune up to get ready for the SRRKC White Perch tourney which starts on Thursday.
Bob asked if we were going to hit the wall 1st but I headed right for the jetty. It paid off.
The fish were snapping and they were quality perch.
Here are our 1st ones...
And the 1st of several 11+"ers...
We hammered this hole pretty well and then it was tine to leave them biting and get to the Spanish house.
We had great action there and got some more 11"ers...
We then drifted out in the open and caught a bunch more.
Bob asked if I had ever fished the Harrington Harbor jetties. I had and so we went there.
We caught quite a few on the flag side but very few on the other jetty.
So now the tide has stopped as did the catching. We moved to the SH and caught some more and even caught a few off the end of the dock.
From there, we went to Holland Point and drifted but we felt no love.
It was getting close to my quitting time so we hit the CB jetty again. This time, the wind had switched from SSW to SE and it was tough to hold the boat so we went to the inside where Bob proceeded to destroy them. I caught a bunch too but I think he had 8 in a row one time. We were now getting white caps inside the jetties...
They were there when we got there and there when we came back. Nice!!
We caught a lot of quality perch today. Many, many in the 10" range and a half a dozen in the 11" range. Plus 2 little stripers and a spot.
Boat was on the trailer by 1pm....a great practice day!
Bob will be out on Thursday in his yak to try to get on the board. If today would have counted, I scored a top 3 of 34.25"! It would have held up for a week or two....

Wow what a report!! That sounds like a whole lot of UL fun! I was in CB this weekend for a wedding but unfortunately did not have time to sneak out to wet a line

Great report, congrats!

Very very nice. Believe I would have had to have a fish fry if I was catching quality WP like that.

Our perch holes are no secret. Very few folks fish for them like we do...
