Chiques Creek, manheim

In my creek again
I use the shallow, easy Rapids to ford her girth, and set up to right hand the ol lay down, then on up the throat to the rear corner of the farm.
I remind-gently rebuke even-myself to mind overhanging canopy of limbs.
The spool is half full with mildly worn line. Plenty for the confine of d crick. The used mono has slight greater drag, yet still moves efficiently thru the guides.
To me it casts neatly,  particularly right cross.
I enjoy dropping my jig on va
rious features

Re: Chiques Creek, manheim

Last time I found a nice undercut rock shelf on the outside bend. I can fish parallel with the current on the lay down, or alternate cross creek and hop micro jig off the shelf.
The pearl and silver tube is rigged proper on a tube head

So I manage to get into the redeyes' smallies, bluegill varieties and chub pretty regularly now. Pretty much scaled down jp fishing.
Shaded, low insect.
Only thing is stinging nettles.
Try walking a half mile to the truck after a double dose flare....gawd

The creek bottom is harder than you might think. All stone in most areas, or silted stone-usually not too foul
