June 16th Double Report

Fathers Day two boat trip. Always look forward to two boat trips. Rib shack was out of chicken so I got pork chops for all. Man they where good. Should have taken a pic so you all can drool on the screen. Fishing started out with a nice LGMouth in the first 30 minutes. Lots of hits and misses. Seemed like the fish needed glasses. A couple more LGmouth as the evening bite just shut down.

Capt Mike

The bite heated up a little more tonight than recent nights. We got our share of shots at snakehead tonight. The bass we caught we big and violent back deep in the swamp. We even got two at a time. The big ones tricked us being dark and thrashing like a snakehead. As golden hour approached, the bite actually stopped rather than got better. Lot's of pics

Excellent but strange to see Michael in a boat instead of a yak!

Nice largies. Yep, they need reading glasses because I had about 5 blow ups that totally whiffed the morning before. On another note, it was my first venture into the pads this year and they looked good. Not torn up at all by the UFO boats. In fact, I've only seem one of them taking out as I put in this year.

The pads this year seem greener and taller than years before. Hydrilla has yet to choke them even a little bit.
