What an interesting past two days. I experienced a highpoint and low point for the season in 24 hours.

I proved to myself that last week wasn't a fluke had another amazing day yesterday boating 7 fish to a high of 5 lb 3 oz and got skunked today. I was so excited about my results yesterday that I took the day off today to fish. For some reason I didn't sleep last night, I was exhausted from two early days in a row and I simply wasn't on my game. I had fewer hits today but did have 3 solid pick-ups and missed all 3. The first two never got a hook set and I later discovered that my hook point was dull or bent. The 3rd one set solid but the line broke after a second or two because the line was frayed. These are things that I normally check for constantly. I had a handful of other quick or short hits which didn't happen much the last two times out. The fish just didn't seem as committed to the bait today.

So how good was yesterday? My 5 biggest were between 3 lb 4 oz and 5 lb 3 oz and totaled 21 lb 12 oz! It was my biggest 'bag' ever.
