4-29-19, "O"

This was perhaps the last trip to the "O" for this year and it was just another normal day on the river. tongue

The recap is as follows:

Shad- Bob 33, Ernie 19
White perch- Ernie 5, Bob 3
Striper- Ernie 1
Blue cat- Ernie 1
Snakehead- Bob 1

Low tide was at 10:10a but we made the best of it.

Bob got off to a semi fast start and kept it up.

Then we started to get into the white perch!

Once we knew how they wanted it, we caught 7 in rapid order but we had to quit since that was not our target species.

I then got slammed by Mr. Whiskers and had a nice tussle...

Then, Bob got hit hard over by the wall and it was game on. Big striper? Carp? Blue cat? Nope!!!

A 28" snakehead...caught on a shad dart. That now makes 13 species caught at the "O" this spring!!

We did not get a  weight...she was full of eggs!

Now Bob was up 12-4, so I declared that period over and we started a new one.

He won the second period as well 21-15. Plus a white perch. All of the other fish were caugt in the 1st period.

And I got an 18'er...

We got off the water around 2pm.

Oh...it was a bit windy and chilly. They had not called for much wind.

Nice report! Very cool to hear about all the different species caught at the O.
