Weekend Report

On a wrong tide all weekend we fished our hearts out.. Saturday I had George from Specialized Baits and Capt Brady Bounds on board. Started with a couple of nice fish in the the first hour of fishing. A sweet 4lb LGMouth plus came unhooked as I lifted it in the boat. But George got a nice one on a wacko.

Lots of dinks and few in the 3lb range as we slipped way back in the weeds on a flood tide. Moon showed up blood red on the way in after dark..

Sunday was slower with even smaller dinks. But fish where caught. The big jitterbug scored a huge LGMouth that jumped several times before dislodging the big lure. This nice LGMouth was caught on Rico.

It was a tough weekend and my clients where fun to guide for..

Re: Weekend Report

Those Rico's cost some major mullah! If I snagged one, I would dive in to get it!

Re: Weekend Report

Zippin Ziggy is about the same price. The splash it II by Don Iveno is also a great bait.

I will pull those out in the next week or two.

Capt. Mike,

What do you know about Sebile Poppers? I now own three "Splasher 90s" but have yet to throw them. They were NOT cheap! The claim to fame is that they have a "glitter filled fluid in the cavity".

Re: Weekend Report

Your looking at these guys? Pretty cool looking..

I have some older clear Zara's with the glitter/oil in them and they still work well for LGMouth and convict bass.

I modified one with a prop and it is killer for shallow water convict bass
