11-1-18, UP

I actually got to the ramp ahead of John...by a car length. Bob was already there so we readied the boat and got on our way. Before heading out, John and I exchanged plans to makes sure we were not fishing the same water.

One of the nicest days....55df at launch time! Gotta love it!

Bob had a spot in mind and we headed there. It has a name but we won't mention it here. Actually, we changed the name of the spot to pooping tree.

I took the skunk off in no time...

...12.5" on a tube.

Bob was next with a 13.5" on a finesse swim.

And then he got 2-3 more small ones. I got 2 more small ones a s well.

We were getting hits but finding it hard to stick them. Many fish we lost (@10) near or by the boat today but only 2-3 of any size.

Around 10am, I got a 14" on a swim bait and Bob got 2 nice ones, one was 14.5" and the other 15.5".

All on the same swim bait we used most of the day.

The bite died for us at that time and it was not until lunch time (after a move) that we scored some more. But we lost more than we caught.

I did throw the jerk bait for a bit and had a nice one on. He was on the back hook. Usually, they hit the front. I lost it, just like all the ones we lost with the swim baits.

The wind did start in around 1pm as predicted but it started kicking in around 2pm. Since it was as south wind, it was blowing the leaves where we were fishing, making it tough. But it's still nice being out so no tears to be shed.

Final tally was Bob10, Ernie 6.

We called it a little before 3.

Time to go fishin' again!

I don't think I want to know the story behind the name of that tree. Nice report.
