John and I met up at 6a and in short time, we were on the water.
The 1st spot we hit was where Bob caught a couple on top water. John had a hit or two but no hook ups. I strained water.
We then went to the other side and I was able to catch a couple. Both hit a jerk bait.
We then went up river, looking for Big Bertha but once again, ho hits in the area so we went to John's island.
But we noticed that the water had not only come down from Tuesday, but it was way down from when John last fished it. It was all different.
Every hole that John new intimately was not holding fish.
We finished it hard and I was able to catch one on a soft hula jig.
So we thought that maybe they are transitioning to the middle and we floated. And we floated!
John had several hookups and was able to land a couple of them.
Nothing big but they were angry this morning. Great fights all around.
It was slow fishing. We had a light breeze all day and blue bird skies. Eagles were sighted too!
Biggest fish was 16.25".

Thank you for the fishing lesson and boat ride Ernie! It was a humbling day for me. Beautiful weather though and always good to be on the SS Rojas!
