Since the UP is so angry, Bob and I decided to go after some white perch. He even brought a cooler so he could take some home.
It was an excellent morning but the winds came in from the S instead of the earlier prediction of SW. Makes a difference especially with a fast outgoing tide.
Anyway, I was going to run up to my normal WP spots between CB and Deale but Bob convinced me to try the jetty 1st.
In no time, he had the skunk off the boat!
But it was not what we were after.
We each caught another one and decided to hit the milk run...for about 2 hours. NO HITS! Not a single hit from known perch holes.
By this time, the wind kicked up so we made a slow trek back to the jetty.
Bob wanted to try the wall for perch. We believe we may have been bit twice by perch but they certainly could have been small stripers.
Anyway, I had a deadline so we worked the jetty and we caught a few more including one that was close at 18.5"!
We never did catch a white perch. We did lose 4-5 fish that were not boated including a keeper type that Bob fought with the UL rod before it came off. We finished with 9 stripers I think....
Still, it was good to get out but where are my white perch?

Glad to see you got out and wet a line. Weird about the WP...

Water temps were 71-72 which seem low for this time of year....

Perch must be on vacation. Nice report.
