Otter Tail County MN 5/27-6/8

Got back from my annual 2 week trip to Minnesota on Sunday afternoon. Had good weather this year and the bass fishing was outstanding. Fished by myself until the last day so I set up a mount in the back of the boat and used voice commands to get pictures.

First day- figuring out the camera.

Nice one on a swim jig.

I had this Pop-R tied on for the whole trip and caught dozens of nice largemouth and smallmouth on it. Amazing that it has any paint left.

Even a 10" bluegill.

Couple nice LM.

This pic was kind of an accident, but I like how it came out.

Ate it.

Dark smallie blasted the popper.

Kept these for a fish fry.

Walleye fishing was tough this year. Got this one off the dock on a jerkbait.

Caught these on back to back casts.

Wow!  That is a great trip!  Beautiful fish and big!  A couple of those LM almost look like spotted bass.

That thumb pic was after the 3rd day. At one point my thumbs were so ripped up I had to start netting everything cause lipping fish hurt too bad.

Oh...I brought a new scale this year and was excited to use it, before finding it was "broken" on the first day. Caught a fish I estimated at 4+ and the scale said 2.02. Tried a couple more fish and it was still way low every time. Either the scale was way off or I'd been seriously overestimating fish my whole life.

At the end of the trip I was preparing to return the scale when I discovered I had it set to kilograms. tongue

The smallies look healthy, the pan fish were awesome, hope you ate the 'eye, and the green fish were, eh, green fish LoL (you can tell I'm addicted to bronze)
