LKA Memorial Day Weekend

Needless to say, it was pandemonium on the water from 11am to sunset each day.  Many crazy boaters out there turning the lake into a washing machine on the heavy duty wash cycle.  So, had to get any fishing in between 4-8 am.  Finding the stripers proved nearly impossible with all the boat traffic that had spooked them the previous day.  Only an 18.5" throwback on Saturday morning.

Had Benjamin on Sunday/Monday.  He did not go out with me Sunday.  I did manage a 23.5" up in Contrary Creek.

Had Benjamin out with me Monday.......mostly fishing for BG/crappie........he caught plenty.

Finally I had a hitchhiker later in the day.  Just a harmless water snake.  Put it back into the lake.

I've never fished that place between the holidays (Memorial and Labor), just for the reason you noted.

That 18 incher looked fat....

Time to go fishin' again!

Re: LKA Memorial Day Weekend

My wife would have jumped in the water if she saw that snake...

Debating whether or not to take the boys out Father's Day....scared of all the boating traffic that will be out there too.
