So, had to put 2.5 more hrs at 4000-4500 rpm on the motor this morning to break in in.  Had that done by noon.  Came back to dock for lunch at the house and then loaded up to go fishing.  Only problem was winds were steady 20 with gusts to 30......not ideal fishing conditions.  But at least this boat keeps me dry!  So out I went and did a whole lot of looking for about 2 hours trying to find some stripers.  Finally, I find some good marks, but they are not active and feeing (no spaghetti noodles on the screen).  They are just sitting there around lots of bait.

The left blue screen is side scan and I can see the fish and bait and how they are oriented to me (left and right).  The upper right screen is the normal sonar straight down and out to the sides a little showing scattered bait and a striper here and there.  Bottom right screen shows you where I was on the lake.  So I eventually switch to sonar only when I think I am near more stripers/bait..........

Put out 3 rods with deep diving rebels that go down to about 10 feet.  After a few minutes, 2 rods go down.  I get the first fish into the boat but the 2nd on gets off while fighting the first fish.  It measured 21.5" and was a keeper!  My first fish in the new boat .

Then the winds became unmanageable and I had to come in......Fish for dinner tomorrow night (2 really nice fillets).

Now I just need to catch 6,199 more stripers to break even on the boat!
