2-21-18, Occoquan

Bob John and I hit the water around 10 am to find it high, muddy and dirty Plus, there was some annoying wind.

We beat up all of the crappie and yellow perch spots and had no bites.

We went up river and had some good marks but nada.

Luckily, Bob was with us as he caught this monster warmouth to prevent the skunk!

BTW, every single boater (4-5) that we talked to were skunked.

Off the water at 2....a most enjoyable day out on the water in with 80 degree air temps. Water temp was 48 degrees.

I was looking forward to Ernie's report. Surely not a big fish for the first catch of 2018, but he didn't know it. I call the day a success, last time I was there I came home with a broken leg.

You got to go out, fish, in 80 degree weather, in February; that's a win!

Together we'll fight the long defeat.

I know it had yellow feathers and I think chenile. I had just tied it on and then got it hung on the next cast.
