It was SLOOOOOW on the big "O" today!

We got them good last Thursday and Bob took his kayak up on Friday and hammered them.

Not so today!

We started just below the falls and a little striper obliged...and then a white perch.

Bob then took the shad skunk off....

...and I got a better striper.

We both got a couple of shad....

....but we worked for them!

5 shad
5 striper
2 white perch

Of course, the big one got away. I had a nice shad on (American?) but I didn't have the net out so i brought him up the side of the boat and he bolted.

Not sure if the shad have left the "O" but it was really windy with blue bird skies and a high pressure system on top of us.

Another freind went bass fishing on the "O" flats/grass and he only caught a couple.

But now he's on the 60 day Injured Reserve List due to a nasty fall while getting in my boat. To his credit, he continued to catch fish despite the pain. Now I have to figure out how I can get him back out pronto!
