The river was high and muddy, so I finally talked George into hitting a little urban tidal cove for LM and Snakies. George hit first and caught a LM and a few casts later, his first Snakhead! He caught another bigger and before we finally moved, he had 3 LM and 2 Snakies.
He then caught a really nice Crappie on a chatterbait.
It took a while for me to catch my first fish, a decent LM on a chatterbait.
The bites dried up after the high tide came in (unusual) and we headed back to the car. Then it happened, the biggest Snakehead of the day (24 3/4") slammed my white chatterbait. Nice way to end a good outing!
I caught 2LM and the one Snakehead and I was happy to put George on his first Snakehead. We fished from 10am-4pm. Kinda slow, but a decent day with sunny, warmer temps.

Turned out to be a great day - not use to that much traffic around when fishing, but it was well worth it. Thx DrX
