Middle Chesapeake 9/17

GF and I camped out by the bay on Saturday and I got to do some kayak fishing on the grass flats. Water was much higher and dirtier than usual but there was still a wide variety of fish hanging around. Caught about 10 specks up to 20" on topwaters and jigs, small bluefish, houndfish, puffers, flounder, and even a little weakie. Didn't see any reds but I've heard some small ones are around.

We also soaked a crab pot in a tidal pond by the campsite and caught a dozen nice blue claws. Gave some away and kept some for a nice meal too. Fun trip, I wish it was longer.
