July 16th Report

Had some real nice warm weather and a fast incoming tide. Spotted several snakeheads just doing the lazy swim back into the pads but could get them to bite. After a few missed hits we went about an hour , maybe two and nothing and the young man of the father and son crew said those immortal words.."Capt Mike have you ever been skunked?"  I quickly said no with my most honest face I could muster..
They where tired of all the casting and no action. I asked if I could make a cast and the young man handed me the rod.. first cast a snakehead slams my frog and misses. I cast back and bingo he eats my frog and hooked up.
So we hit some other areas and nada happens. So we change over to poppers as the tide raced out very fast. Well that worked very well.
