Yesterday I got back from my annual 2 week trip to my family's cabins in Minnesota. Fishing was good, family was good, weather was good, vacation was too short. Made it to 8 different lakes, some of them multiple times. I fished by myself this year so getting pics was tricky at times, but I got what I could.
Random smallmouth
Random largemouth
Fishing through the rain
Good one on a swimbait
I rarely catch pike at night so this one was a surprise. He attacked a jerkbait but did more damage to himself than anything.
This snapping turtle decided the boat ramp was a great spot to lay her eggs. I didn't want to disturb her so I went to a different lake.
Tried to get some action shots.
Bad picture of a good fish
I didn't do much crappie fishing this year but they always cooperate when I do.
Loved the color on this smallie
Had a few great nights of walleye fishing early on, but the bite tapered off later in the trip. This is a limit I kept for a fish fry with my relatives.
Hybrid sunfish. Caught a bunch of these.
Brace of quality largemouth. Caught many many fish this day.
Gave the Livetarget Sunfish a workout. Doesn't cast particularly well but walks like a champ.
Love the way smallmouth smack a spinnerbait.
Topwater time
Obligatory thumb shot
Two weeks went by way too fast. I'm ready to go back now.

Congrats on the incredible fishing and vacation! Such a multi-species catch, very exciting to have such variety. The smallie looks so cool....like digi-camo, and really chunky. What was the biggest LM you caught? Any walleye or muskie lurking around?
