Lemme check w/ the wifey - would luv to go

But since I'm fishing Sat I need to make sure she's good

Should be nice

My pick would be lock to lock or driving a few miles to avoid the jet boat traffic

Tell her that you will be home early and that you will cook her up something nice for dinner.....I agree with your pick. Beautiful water.

The key is early to noon to keep the peace at home.

I'd like to go on the float, but as of right now they are calling for rain on Monday.  -  60% chance .

This is going to be a great report. Wish 1) I had a kayak and 2) I could go

OK river prognosticators....we are expecting close to an inch o rain on Sunday night. Will that affect our float?

Firemunkee....i have a Cobra Yak, if u wanna float.  I can let you use it, just have to pick up and drop off.  I'm in Brambleton.
Rigged for a milk crate.  Seat is not the most comfortable, but I have a hunting cushion as well.  I trust Ya.

Tyler and I are still in.  I will let the "river prognosticators" make the final decision either late tonight or early tomorrow.

Re: Memorial Day yak float....May 30 (early to noon)

Decision needs to be made way before late tonight as I will be away all day today and will not have a chance to gear up. As George mentioned in an email this morning, with close to an inch of rain coming, "it'll be a fast kayak ride - very fast". Personally, I am not interested in that.

Re: Memorial Day yak float....May 30 (early to noon)

That makes sense.  Given we need to decide earlier than later, it sounds like we should cancel.  I don't think the weather predictions are going to change dramatically in the next couple hours.

Re: Memorial Day yak float....May 30 (early to noon)

It will probably be dry and sunny......but it looks like we are sleeping in. Maybe I'll splash the yak in Cedar and see how the rest of the lake fishes....

Ernie, youre right, they never get the weather report right.
Went to BD yesterday afternoon and I skunked, few nibbles here and there, but fish weren't cooperating.

Re: Memorial Day yak float....May 30 (early to noon)

Some weather forecast.....just ran into a guy that cancelled his cookout due to forecast. Now he is having a good time fishing!

I took advantage of the tropically stormy weather and did 35 miles on the bike....definitely ready for next Sunday's Tour de Cure ride! Beautiful riding weather....very little wind, few people out and a little humid.

Still have not checked out how the rest of Cedar fishes.
