4-15-16, Potomac River
Curly picked me up at 0520 and off to Fletcher's we went.
It was a bit chilly but not too bad and we made good time running upriver.
We went way up...where no boats go!
It didn't take long for me to get hooked up...not sure but we think this was a big buck hick or an American....
Then Curly jigged up this fat 24 incher...
We ran into a friend who had caught 3 stripers and 3 kitties from shore....
After a bit, we moved and steadily caught shad...
There he is again....this guy moves around like a cat!
Another nice one....
We trolled our way out and Curly got the Washington Channel itch but nothing bit.
Still, a very good morning and a spectacular day!
Time to go fishin' again!

Nice! I've only fished around chain bridge for shad. I should try further down the river some time.
