April 2nd double report

The rain stopped and the sun came out and the wind never showed up.. off we went on a long run. Arrived to smooth as glass seas and picked away at some big crappie. Also landed some nice eater cats and 4 yellow perch. Beautiful day and the bite was enough to keep you interested.

Lots of fun today.

Capt Mike

I  really liked today's crew.  A couple getting married in June and her father.  What a great relationship they all had.

Shyam had never caught a catfish.  He caught his first of a couple of cats and his first eel.   He just started fishing two years ago and man is he hooked.  He's marrying a girl that likes to fish and she made sure he knew it.  Not a lot of fish caught today but,  we had fun.  The wind didn't show up until the tide was ready to turn toward the end of the trip and start that classic tide vs.wind battle.  The wind won as usual and after a half hour of the lines being under the boat and the wind really starting to pick up,  we called it a day.
