I have been consistently catching one-two 12"-15" a trip all through the winter at the same small pond near VT so I finally decided to venture out and try to find new water. Found a pond 20 mins from tech and fished it all the way around with 2-3 dinks on a rattle trap to start out. I saw another smaller pond 100 yards away and decided to try that one. As soon as I walked up to an area that had water flowing I saw 4-5 fish in the 4-7 pound class and was shocked. I tossed my shakey head in and first cast got this 4ish pounder.
Then the big girl of the bunch showed herself. She took a little coaxing but after I threw the shakey head at her a dozen times with a few breaks in between I finally got her to bite. She went 22.5 inches and 7lbs-7.5lbs. No scale but she was very fat and heavy. She is my new official pb!
