The plow just came by....

The guy across the street from me works for town public works. Either him or his buddy just came by and plowed the short stretch in front of his to the dead end and the other short stretch to the town road. Helps to allow the cop neighbor to get out too.
LCSO expects the deputies to drive from home to their stations to pick up an SUV to use for their shift. My bro-in-law isn't too sure he'll be able to get from Aldie to the University station in his Charger tomorrow morning. And then they return the SUV for the next shift to use. I think they should've kept the Humvees they had acquired.
Just got my computer finally working to decode the public works radio comms so I can know what's happening around town.

A deputy on A shift in an SUV picked up my bro-in-law this morning. Took him to admin in Leesburg to get an SUV to use. Trying now to get home to get clothes and food since he doubts he'll be able to get home tonight. Currently stuck not too far from the house.

My neighbor just came by with this. Hearing him on the radio. Says he may end up needing chains for it. Just headed up the street to pull out one of the stuck plows.

Wow....there is no sense in shoveling. My effort last night was strictly for exercise because you can't see what I did any more.
But, I did take advantage of the down time to look for fishing stuff to sell at the 2 Flea Markets that I will be participating in over the next 2 weeks. Found some more old rods, trolling rods, Storm swim baits etc.
Next Saturday is the Lake Shore flea market in Pasadena MD. Door proceeds benefits the Heroes on The Water program.
Then we have the Hillendale FD Bass show in Dale City. Fishingcommunities.org will have 2 tables and all proceeds will benefit the Wounded Heroes Fishing program. I will bring some stuff as well and 50% of my proceeds will go to Wounded Heroes.
Hopefully, we will have dug out by then......

Beast. lol.
I regret not buying a snow blower now...

I have resisted buying a snow blower because we don't get that much snow😂 and, I would have to move my rod racks.😱

Supposed to rain Tuesday afternoon. Everyone better clear what they can before it becomes all ice.

The wind has kept my truck clear of snow, as well as immediately around it. Haven't opened the garage yet, but I don't think it has drifted up against it.
I just got done blowing my driveway. I didn't have much exposed driveway to begin with and that didn't take long. It was everything piled up at the end that took a while.
I'm thinking $50 per foot of depth for the average driveway is more like it.
