7-1.....Finally got some time to catch a few

Haven't posted in a while......been off the grid.  Finally got a chance to do a little fishing in at Ashburn Lake.  Fished near the dam and the grass was very thick.......but the bass were in it.  First bass....19.5" and 4.34 lbs.

Blue/black P&J flipping and punching through the grass...the 5 pounder was right up against the rocks in thick crap.....might try a mouse early one morning?

Re: 7-1.....Finally got some time to catch a few

I have braid on both of my baitcasters right now.
I actually prefer casting mono .

I like braid for knot longevity and hookset leverage.

Fluro just too expensive in my book.

I use tungsten for Texas rigs

Re: 7-1.....Finally got some time to catch a few

Did some froggin' this morning and had 3 bites. But they were strange bites and after paying closer attention on the 3rd one, it was a snapping turtle looking to have frog legs for breakfast....no fish landed.
